Severus wants to teach me what a "Relationship" means. It pretty much surprised me. He and relationship?!! O my!! But as usual I trusted him like I did with my potion lessons. *laughs*

Severus
*walks next to Lily peeking around his shoulder*

Lily
What?! *catches him peeking over and smiles*

Severus
Nothing... It's beautiful around here, isn't it? *pretends to be admiring the view, though is in fact checking they are not been followed*

Lily
*her girl instinct says he is lying but oh well.. she smiles* Yeah indeed. *She has always loved this part of the school, it's so green. It was a sunny day. The weather was nicely warm. Lily sighed in contentment*

Severus
So, you wanted to know what I know about relationships...

Lily
*shrugs* Yes as you said you'd teach me. *chuckles*

Severus
*fights against panicking* Well yes... I didn't actually mean I'd teach you... I mean, I couldn't... *starts to stammer slightly* I mean I shouldn't... *collects himself and tries to act more self-assured way* I thought you wanted to know what I could teach about relationships... And I know what everybody thinks, that I know nothing about them, but I do.

Lily
*laughs in amusement* Easy there! Do you remember in our childhood in Spinners End, we used to walk and play around a lake? I remember making a pony tail with your hair. *burst out laughing.*

Severus
Yes... *is still deep in thought*
But you asked, so... I'll tell you... I know a lot about bad relationships, about things no-one should ever have to see, hear or experience... I also know, that one should be loyal, respecting and... *his voice starts to fade as he feels he has talked too much*

Lily
*she was gulping down his words, so mature, more than anyone she knows of her age. Suddenly he paused* And? *gulps*

Severus
*almost whispering now* ...and tender... *reaches to touch slightly Lily's hand with his fingertips* ...and loving...

Lily
*Bits her lip lightly and then releases. Feels her body shaking with his whispers and finally at the union of their hands. She rests her eyes on his deep dark wells in between the silky curtains of hair. Let their eyes be united for the first time..."

Severus
*gasps in disbelief and interwines his slender fingers tighter amongst hers*

Lily
*A pair of emerald green eyes scanned the face in front of her. She brushes a strand of red hair from her face. The faintest breeze seemed to pass through her, and it whispered something to her, like a voice in a dream. She is going naive as his fingers tightens around hers*

Severus
*feeling he is totally drowning in the depths of those beautiful, magically green eyes he leans a little bit toward her, loweres his face and, still keeping their eyecontact, he brushes a gentle and slightly unsure kiss on her rosy lips*

Lily
*every bit of her.. started shaking with an unexpected union of their souls. Taking the bliss she closed her eyes before lightly touching his chin. She returns the kiss.*

Severus
*deepening the kiss he draws her warm and soft feminine body closer to him, he smells the delicate scent of her hair and skin and it affects him intoxicating way*

Lily
*Surrendering completely to the bliss, she brings her hand softly to the back of his head, and kisses him deeply. She's never felt so numb, and yet so alive in her entire life.*

Severus
*feeling his arousal heighten and afraid it would soon be known by her too, he starts reluctantly pull of from her arms*

Uhm... sorry Lily, I... I hope you won't be mad at me... I... did I... did you...

*struggling a horrible inner battle between his need to be close to her, to hold her, to kiss her more deeply and more passionately he had ever even dreamed of, and his need to behave honourable with the young woman he respected, admired and... wanted more than anything*

Lily
*She slightly felt taken aback as he pulled off the kiss and then started to wonder why he was begging pardon. Was it the reason because he actually didn't want to kiss or was it because he thinks its not right?! She scanned his face once again but this time for her answer. She looks slightly hurt and with a feeble voice she asks* Why would I be mad at you? *frowns* I'm sorry if I did something wrong *slowly lowers down her eyes at the ground, having the decency to look ashamed*

Severus
No, *her words starting to sunken in* NO! You didn't do anything wrong, not at all... it's just... I thought that maybe I was too insolent, to assault you like that... You have every right to be mad at me... I just couldn't... *notices the look on her face and thinks it's because she is sorry and maybe even disgusted with what had happened*

Lily
*she looked up at him* You didn't assault me nor was it insolent. *Continues gazing at him so he could read her. Being an occulment he has some privileges, so lets be it; she wants him to read her mind.*

Severus
*wild in amazement he sunkens once again in her eyes that she so willingly offers for him to read - flashes of their previous encounter start surfacing in her mind, mind so open and trusting...* Oh Lily... You... you actually liked it? *his voice almost trembling because of a surge of an unrecognized emotion stirring inside his soul*

Lily
*She marveled at his reaction! Little tinge of blush creeps onto her cheeks as she smiles in reply. It feels as though thousands of butterflies flying around in stomach, it was such a beautiful sensation . Even the sun seems to be shining in different color* It was perfect *she replies in a low audible voice with a smile etched on her face.*

Severus
*wide, happy smile starts slowly lighten up his face* It was? *he whispers more to himself, to his own assurance, than to her ears* You are perfect, Lily. *he says beaming like a just polished golden Galleon*

Lily
*blushes even more but for just a fraction of a second. She gains her composure quickly* I knew you could be marvelous as a legilimense. I am happy that you are more skilled than anyone of our age...*whispers* that makes you completely noticeable.

Severus
Shhh... *he presses his index finger gently on her lips, because her words made him feel joyful but embarrassed, he's not used to being praised and doesn't know how to relate to it... her lips feel so very soft and sweet under his touch that he wants to kiss her again, "she did like it earlier, didn't she", he ponders*

Lily
*Smiles a little as he stops her with the gentle touch of his slender fingertips.
She could see in his eyes that he rather enjoyed it when she praised him and moreover touching her lips. The thought made her blush even more than before. Suddenly feeling a rush of affection, she gently brushes a tiny little kiss onto his finger. She didn't know why, but she just had to do it.*

Severus
*that tiny kiss seems to roll everything upside down inside him... he feels as if a fiery dragon was spinning in his lower abdomen... he looks at her slightly blushed cheeks and starts to feel very light and heavy at the same time... he puts his other hand gently to a back of her head and takes a surprisingly firm grip to her chin, then he pulls her face closer to his and dives into the deep and passionate kiss*

Lily
*Suddenly her mind stops taking constant note of the situation. Suddenly nothing did matter. He came and placed a firm yet gentle kiss onto her lips. The divine bliss seems to have paused the moment. She kisses him deeply and more passionately. The first kiss in her life! "Does a 'relationship' mean such a beautiful union of two souls?" She didn't bother to think. Suddenly all her concerns seemed to have stopped by the amorous kiss. The moment seemed like eternity.*

Happy Birthday Lily!

Merline! Toady at the ministry they all came with a big round cake! Moody, Potter, Longbottom and more. Remus, Severus, Alice and Mary planned to spend the day at the 'Illuminated Dungeon' of my mansion. I agreed on their small gathering/party whatever and invited Rosmerta too but the information was quite  secret. We were suppose to have a diner at my dungeon. How on earth everybody recalled my birthday? Especially Moody! I don't want him to assign me with more work because I sense that he will. It must be Potter who couldn't help but to spread the news of my birthday to get my attention (yes, I regretfully believe so). Alice potioned him yesterday so that he would forget my birthday but it seems she has failed miserably. I usually don't celebrate my birthday with so many people in my working place, cake, sweets and such. Only a few close friends and my sister Petunia (though I don't think she enjoys being around my wizard friends) are on my list.  Now here they are, standing gleefully in front of me with cake, candies and sweets on the table. Gosh!  I might deal with Potter later but for now I will not refuse the love of my fellow ministry people. So, thank you all my friends and happy birthday to me!!!!

Happy New Year

Hello to my readers, friends and even those of you who are not friend with me. How was your new year this time? I had a great new year with friends and family! I am sure everyone rocked it also? Right ?
I am not a party animal, nor do I enjoy spending my time in crowd, chaos and noise; but this year I attended the Mayor of London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks at the central London. It was splendid!! And surely, worth the try. New Year’s Eve in Central London is one of the busiest nights of the year- the midnight fireworks display on the banks of the Thames attracts around 250,000 people!! 

Happy new year, may 2011 brings lots of happiness and prosperity for you. 

We all love it, no matter what...

 Quidditch, "the sport of warlocks," is the premier sport of the wizarding world. It is a fast, dangerous, exciting game in which two teams flying on broomsticks compete for points scored by throwing a ball--the Quaffle--through hoops on either end of a large grassy pitch.   

Kids often play Quidditch on broomsticks in the back apple orchard; its also played by teams of students at Hogwarts, and by professional athletes whose exploits are followed avidly all over the world. The World Cup matches attract hundreds of thousands of fans. 

Quidditch falls under the jurisdiction of the Department of Magical Games and Sports, part of the Ministry of Magic. The professional organization is called the International Association of Quidditch. Professional matches are attended by trained mediwizards and while there are many injuries, there are few deaths from Quidditch accidents. However, referees have been known to disappear completely only to turn up weeks later in the middle of the Sahara Desert. There are seven hundred possible ways to commit a foul in Quidditch, all of which occurred in a World Cup match held in 1473.
The name "Quidditch" comes from Queerditch Marsh, the place where the game originated in the 1000s. The colorful, exciting history of this thousand-year-old sport is detailed in the excellent book, Quidditch Through the Ages, now available in a Muggle edition. Rules of play

Quidditch is played up on broomsticks up in the air. There are three goal posts at either ends of a field. That field is called a Quidditch pitch. Three types of balls are required for a Quidditch game.

 The ball that scores the points is the Quaffle. The Quaffle is 12 inches in diameter and is made of leather bindings. The Bludger is probably the most dangerous ball of all of them. It flies through the air being hit by players called beaters. Serious injuries have been caused by Bludgers hitting people and causing them to fall off their brooms. The third and most important ball is the Golden Snitch. The Golden Snitch is a tiny ball that has wings and is enchanted. The first Snitch was a tiny bird that was very small and very tiny, but changes to the rules made it illegal to use the actual bird. The current enchanted, winged ball version of the Snitch was invented by Bowman Wright of Godric's Hollow. If the Seeker catches the Golden Snitch, his or her team earns 150 points and usually wins the match. At either end of the Quidditch pitch are three hoops through which the Quaffle can be scored. In the center of the Pitch is a circle where the balls are all thrown into the air and the match begins. As the balls are thrown, the players all gather on the ground and then kick off as the referee blows his/her whistle. During the game a player can get a foul or break a rule. Here are some fouls that a player can receive: blagging (applies to all players, it is when a player seizes opponent's broom tail to slow or hinder), blatching (applies to all players, it is when a person is flying with the intent to collide), bumphing (applies to beaters only, it is when a Beater is hitting a Bludger towards the crowd, necessitating a halt of the game as the officials rush to protect bystanders. Sometimes used by unscrupulous players to prevent an opposing Chaser from scoring).

Scoring:

On the face of it, Quidditch scoring is unfair. In fact, it's so unfair that you can barely call it a sport. Since catching the Snitch gains one side the equivalent of fifteen goals and ends the game so the other team can't counter it, Quidditch is essentially a match between the two Seekers and nothing else. So what makes it so popular? Do witches and wizards just watch it for the violence and fancy broom tricks?

Not at all. Quidditch is always played in a series. Unless you're playing a pickup game in the apple orchard, every Quidditch match is part of a larger series of matches, and accumulated points are what count toward ultimate victory. The Quidditch Cup at Hogwarts goes to the team with the most total points, not the one who has won the most matches. The standings we see in the Daily Prophet for the British League (DP) list the teams in order of how many points they have in total, from Tutshill with 750 down to the lowly Cannons with only 230. Nowhere in the standings does it note how many matches each team won. Although we don't see evidence of it, there must be a similar system for the World Cup, which would imply that Bulgaria and Ireland were the top scorers in the world that year. Would it have been possible, then, for Bulgaria to have won the World Cup with Krum's capture of the Snitch, even though Ireland won the match? Apparently so.

International Wizardry

Like the Ministry of Magic in London other countries of the world have the similar governing bodies. Bulgaria, for example, has its own Ministry of Magic, the Minister of which, Mr. Oblansk, sat in the Top Box to watch the World Cup Final in 1994. There is also a Ministry of Magic in Norway and other countries. All of these governmental organizations have signed the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy of 1692 which set down many requirements for individual countries to keep the Muggles unaware of the wizarding world. This requires the Ministries of each country to monitor activities such as Quidditch and to protect and hide the various magical beasts which live within their borders.

Rock Cakes from Rosmerta's Recipe

I've brought this recipe from Rosmerta (not Hagrid). Makes 12 Large or 16 Medium Rock Cakes

Ingredients:

• 4 cups self-raising flour
• 1 cup (2 sticks) real butter chilled and cubed
• 1/2 tsp kosher salt
• 2 tsp pumpkin spice mix
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 cup dried raisins
• 4 large eggs
• 1/2 cup milk
• sugar cinnamon mix for sprinkling

Directions:

Step 1: Preheat oven to 400F.

Step 2: Grease a large cooking sheet.

Step 3: Sift the flour, salt and mixed spice together in a medium bowl. Cut the butter into the flour until it has the consistency of large crumbs.

Step 4: Stir in the sugar and dried fruit. In a separate bowl whisk the egg and milk together.

Step 5: Pour the egg mixture over the flour mixture . Using a large spoon, blend the mixtures together to form a rough dough. To avoid "Hagrids Rock Cakes" do not to over mix, it will make rock cakes hard. just mix it until the flour is mixed in.

Step 6: Using the spoon, dollop portions of dough onto cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Don't smooth them out--they should be like a drop biscuit.

Step 7: Sprinkle each mound generously with cinnamon sugar mixture.

Step 8: Bake for 12-15 min. Transfer to a wire rack to cool. Eat within two days.

Jamaica Farewell

Lately I've been way too occupied with my responsibilities that I hardly can grasp a moment for self relaxation. Potions are keeping me awake and some good music that I enjoy is keeping me alive and eased. There's one song I've discovered is rather similar to my condition.

Confession of Lily Evans

Hello friends! Uh.. ok ok I know, I know that I've been very careless with my writing lately. I'm not gonna make a big excuse for it, so relax! There's an honest confession on my part and I confess that I've been away for too long that I couldn't keep the page running. *playful pouts* I hope that satisfies your inquest for now?

I have been extremely busy with my life out there, in the world of magic where I have numerous responsibilities to fulfill. I wish I could invent a charm to keep this blog running without sitting in front of this absolutely blistering monitor *sigh* Anyway, I'm glad to be back, to see my page after so long. Gosh it gives me a strange mental satisfaction!

So ok, here I brought a recipe for Butter Beer (finally!!), because now that I'm back home, I need a drink? *chuckles*

Rosmerta and I enjoyed making many drinks before this Halloween. She was eager to come because we are very good friends, we enjoy very good times cooking and chilling together, there another secret reason she was eager to come for was that I invited Sirius at the Halloween eve party and she knew it *chuckles* If they permit I might tell you someday. For now.. here comes your recipe...

BUTTER BEER





Ridiculous but those who don't know what a Butterbeer is! : It warms you up AND tastes great. Now in take-away form from The Three Broomsticks. (Many thanks to Rosmerta for this recipe!)

Ingredients:

• 1 cup (8 oz) club soda or cream soda
• ½ cup (4 oz) butterscotch syrup (ice cream topping)
• ½ tablespoon butter

Directions:

Step 1: Measure butterscotch and butter into a 2 cup (16 oz) glass. Microwave on high for 1 to 1½ minutes, or until syrup is bubbly and butter is completely incorporated.

Step 2: Stir and cool for 30 seconds, then slowly mix in club soda. Mixture will fizz quite a bit.

Step 3: Serve in two coffee mugs or small glasses; a perfectly warm Hogwarts treat for two!

SIMPLE! *grins*

Little bit of me and Severus (Part2)

Time and place- Ministry of Magic, 21st July, 1978.

Severus Snape: Hello Lily! Are you free right now? I'm skiving off classes and heading to London. It's in the best interest of my students...if I see another melted cauldron I'll turn the lot of them into hairy toads! As I was saying I'll be in Diagon Alley to purchase supplies for my potion's stores and I thought it would be nice to speak to someone whom I don't wish to hex within 30 seconds. If not for me think of the children *smirk*

Lily Evans: Lily was at her office, doing some paper work when a sudden voice broke the prevailing silence like a boom of thunder. Instead of getting frightened or disturbed, it made her smile as she recognized the person and undoubtedly, no one could lighten up her mood more than him. She was joyful for being able to escape the utter boredom, for finding an excuse to go away from this not so interesting assignment. Lily then looked up and with a smile, welcomed Severus. "Great timing Severus. I've been bored out of my brain!"
She stood up immediately as he started to speak and made her chuckle at the innovative idea for punishment, which Lily very well knew that Severus didn't mean to perform at all.At the mention of hex, she laughed and bowed mockingly, "Thank you, I'm obliged thereby."
"Potions store! I haven't been there in ages"Lily threw a side way glance at her working table "For now, I'd like to think about myself and myself only and thus, give you my consent" Her eyes twinkled as a beaming smile appeared unknowingly. She changed her Ministry robe into a Tartan red one with a hasty bit of wand work and then skipped off to the Ministry fireplace. "After you Sev.."

Severus Snape: Snape raised an eyebrow at Lily's robe. Although he thought she looked quite good in it he couldn't resist teasing Lily. Severus reached out to pinch the fabric of Lily's robe querying "Shades of McGonagall Lil? I know you admire the woman but don't you think this is taking Gryffindor pride a little too far?"

Before Lily could respond to his taunt Severus swept out his arm to the floo in a flourish exclaiming "After you my lady." But before Lily could take two steps to the floo his arm jerked out again this time to bar Lily's path. "On second thought...after me I think." And on that note Severus swept into the fireplace enunciating "Diagon Alley". With a whoosh he was gone smirking at the thought of what would no doubt be Lily's most interesting reaction to his behaviour. He just hoped she wouldn't hex first and ask questions later!

Lily Evans: Lily gasped in sudden movement of Severus as she was about to take the floo powder and give an equally kind answer to him. The poor Lily watched him vanish with a whoosh and then laughed amusingly. She then took the floo powder and entered the grate, "Diagon Alley" she shouted and momentarily was gone with a flash of green flames.

"Severus I suggest you take tour to the St. Mungo's and I promise you it will be free... " Lily stepped out of the grate, brushed the soot and looked up at Snape with a witty remark on face.

Severus Snape: Severus couldn't help smirking at Lily's suggestion. "On the contrary my little flower *smirk deepens at this*, quite the opposite in fact. You see I realized that if you came through to Diagon Alley first you would no doubt be approached by someone or the other who you once passed the sugar to at some luncheon or other but somehow that made you the BEST of friends and then they would engage you in some tedious discussion of their Cousin Ernie's latest bout of spattergroit, the poor soul *said with patented sneer*. I would then have to wait for Merlin only knows how long while you futilely tried to politely disengage yourself from said person. Then of course I would have to step in in all my menacing and snarky glory and rescue you. So I just saved us a half an hour of tedious boredom. You can thank me by treating me to lunch!" Severus raised an eyebrow as if to say "Well now what do you have to say to that?"

Lily Evans: She blinked for few seconds and then tucked a flock of hair behind her ears, embarrassed and undecided about how to answer this surprisingly absolute analysis! She was indeed regarded by many as BEST of friends whom she probably had known for only few weeks and most of them do bring tiresome discussions sometimes. But then she chuckled at his sneering and the way he was blatantly proclaiming his abilities. "I.. erm.." She straightened up and continued "Well, I'm privileged by your presence.." with a brief nod she continued "...and it will be my pleasure to treat you to a lunch; no uncertainty at that. I was referring to a St. Mungo's trip together someday. You know, I'm always there for you in your need.
Let's move on, shall we now?" and immediately she stepped forward before he could cut it, as she suppressed a hearty chuckle at Severus's exasperated look that vividly came into her mind.

Severus Snape: Hello Lilium! Your BFF is taking a break from a brewing streak. I have just put several of my potions in stasis. I will of course have to return to my lab soon but for now I am going to relax in my rooms and enjoy a good book.

Lily Evans: Oh? What book are you reading? *nerdygrin*

Severus Snape: I'm reading "How to Tell the Dark Lord in Your Life that You Can No Longer be Friends" by Nomore D. Eaters. It's an interesting read.

Lily Evans: *Laughs* Now that's an improvement Severus, I quite appreciate your changes *chuckles* By the way, I need to ask you something. *lowers voice* Potter said he shaved your head and mocked, I didn;t believe him but also didn't know how to defend it, because I had no clue about it. Did you know I constantly defend you when they mock? *hmph*

Severus Snape: WHAT????? Do you honestly think that Potter would be able to get close enough to shave my head? That ponce has definitely taken one too many bludgers to the head. Since he believes that he accomplished this perhaps I should return the favour but I think I'll shave the word "GIT" into the back of his head.

By the way thanks for having my back! I am always ready to defend you but I've never had to since everyone seems to adore you not that I can blame them. *winks*

Lily Evans: Well no, not really. I don't think he'd be able to do so, of course! I don't believe him at all! Besides, you are quick enough to grab a wand and stupify him. *smirks. She liked the idea of potter taking too many bludgers to the head*

Git? *bursts out laughing* Oh Severus, that's a very innovative idea. Teaching the toerag a good lesson for bullying innocent people. *by innocent she means Severus too.*

*smiles* C'mon you don't have to thank me for anything. I defend it because thats what BFFs are for, I don't like it when they speak ill of you. You are a true gentleman and never arrogant; you treat women with respect. *smiles* My! Too many qualities Sev to be adored by ladies, you see? *chuckles*

Severus Snape: *smirks* You know Lily you're the only one who could call be "adorable" and get away with it. As for my non-arrogance I'm sure some people would beg to differ but they're not important. Thank you for the compliments; they are much appreciated.

You should drop by the lab one of these days for a visit. Or we could go to Diagon Alley this weekend. We don't see enough of each other.

Lily Evans: Yes. Seems like we don't see each other enough forever now. A friends day out at Diagon Alley sounds alluring. You know, I'm never busy for you. Just pop up into the ministry and I'm ready to go. *Notices the rare smile and smiles back at him* By the way, are you sure there aren't students who run behind you in the school? Ton-Tongue Toffee

Ton-Tongue toffee just for you, though I promise it's been anti-jinxed to keep your tongues
small! (Many thanks to Rosmerta for the recipe!)

Ingredients:

• 2 cups sugar
• 8 tablespoons of butter
• ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (or imitation)
• 1½ cups water
• Additionally, a candy thermometer is required

Directions:

Step 1: In a medium saucepan, mix all ingredients and melt over medium heat until sugar is completely dissolved.

Step 2: Without further stirring, boil until mixture reaches 290°F on your candy thermometer.

Step 3: Pour mixture into a greased or buttered 9"x12" pan and let cool until almost firm to the touch.

Step 4: Score surface into 2" squares with a sharp knife, but do not cut completely.

Step 5: When cool, break into pieces (this should be easier if toffee was properly scored).

Step 6: Enjoy! Makes 1¼ pounds of toffee.

White people are pretty conflicted about their culture. One way they can make up for it is becoming marginally acquainted with foreign cultures. It is generally acceptable for a white person to learn a few terms in a language spoken primary by non-whites (such as Chinese, Tagalog or Portuguese).
